Muncie Mission Ministries partnered with Ball State University to allow students to come volunteer during various events. This group of students is a part of English 104.38l: Writing for Change, taught by Assistant Lecturer Mary Lowery. Each student was eager to help out in any way they could, and the staff at the Muncie Mission was thrilled to have them there.
This volunteer work encapsulates the course’s core beliefs that writing can inspire action and spark real change. As the students cleaned, they gained a deeper understanding of how small acts of service can create a wave of real and lasting change in the community. (Photos by Ian Terrell)
