The White River Alliance [WRA] exists to improve and protect water quality in the upper White River Region. WRA Volunteers come out for the river assessment field team sampling [RAFT] each month. The most recent round of testing took place on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Honey Creek in Martisville, Ind. White River Alliance offers training to ensure all volunteers are equipped with the knowledge and tools to accurately sample Indiana’s waterways. Kelly Brown, Water Quality Manager, assists volunteers in gathering samples. Brown has eight years of experience working with civic, private and nonprofit organizations. (Photos by Kyle Ingermann)
